Northern Bedford County School District
Alumni Association (NBCSD)

About Us

History

The NBC Alumni Association is composed of folks who graduated from Northern
Bedford representing various years as well as graduates of Bloomfield, Replogle, Smith,
and Woodbury Schools. This long-standing group meets yearly on the last Saturday in
September to renew friendships, share memories, and become informed of school and
community happenings. The gathering is held at the old Replogle elementary building in
New Enterprise, PA.

The first class of NBC began school at the Robert P. Smith Vocational Building in the
fall of 1957. The present NBC site graduated its first class in 1963 and continues to be a
focal point in the community via music, arts, athletics, and educational experiences.

Organized by officers and committees, the NBC Alumni Association hopes to grow with
new members and information sharing through this venue.

Mission Statement

The mission of Northern Bedford County Alumni Association is to lead alumni in fostering strong social connections with each other as well as the Northern Bedford County School Community. This will be achieved through sponsorship of periodic gatherings and other platforms to expedite fund raising to support alumni-sponsored projects.

The Association’s organizers (planning committee) will encourage all alumni members to engage in its activities, and to offer ideas for programs that enhance the life experience of students, parents, alumni and the school community. Examples of projects include the following:

      • Guest speakers (local history, scientific, cultural programs, etc.)
      • Programs presented by Alumni (i.e. vocational workshops, debates on
        social issues, etc.)
      • Website (to enhance communication efforts among members), and
      • Group Discounts (sporting events, artistic events, hotels, etc.

Please consider supporting the Northern Bedford County School District Alumni Association (NBCSD) with a monetary donation.
